  15. I have had PPP/TCP running smoothly on my mac performa 6115cd/GV 
  16. Teleport Gold II 'for performa' for some time now. No problems. Now,out 
  17. of nowhere,problems. I didn't change anything. The symptoms are:

  19. After working fine for 1min-1hr,Netscape can no longer find any new 
  20. hosts. When I quit and hit 'close' in config PPP,the modem does not hang 
  21. up the phone. When I disconnect the phone line manually from the modem 
  22. it takes a lot of fiddling to get the connect light to go off.

  24. Fetch is working at about 1/2 speed.

  26. I have reinstalled TCP,PPP,Serial Control Panel and tried various modem 
  27. init strings. Nothing makes any difference so I suspect the modem.
